Information about Charity Foundation of Central Russia

Charity Foundation of Central Russia has been created in 2006 by the initiative of Mr. G.Poltavchenko, the authorized representative of the President of Russian Federation in Central federal district.

The Fund attracts donations and assists needy families and orphan children of the regions of the Central federal district within activity directions which determined by Founders and the Guardian Board.

In particular, the Fund promotes improvement of material conditions of children dwelling in orphaned establishments, paying special attention to creation of surroundings for preparation of the orphan to the future independent life bought in training household and professional views. For this purpose the Fund conducts large scale actions for attracting donations and commodities to equip accommodations, workshops, motor-car class-rooms and gym-halls in children’s houses of the Central federal district. Within the frames of the conducted actions «Present children with cosiness», «Present children with profession», «Present children with joy of sports victories» fund distributes in the widest business circles and among the population the information prepared about actual needs of children’s houses and assists in adjusting of direct patronage communications. Also the works for repair and reconstruction of children houses have being made for the purpose of conditions improving for the orphans creative, labor and sports activities with the recourses attracted by the Fund.

For the development of children’s love to sports and healthy life habits the Fund constantly conducts charity actions «Sports Holiday». For this professional sports clubs are attracted for the organisation of the distant region orphans attending of sports competitions and matches of international and national level, as well as master classes conducted by professional sportsmen.

The major direction of the Fund’s work is assistance to the system of orphan children in families. The special attention is given to informing of the population and preparing potential foster-parents for orphan children. The Fund also helps the development of "schools for foster parents" network and other necessary auxiliary services in the regions of the district. This assistance means strengthening of material and technical base of these services, their fitting, carrying out of repair works preparetion and the publication of methodical and information materials. The aim of these services is not only adoption the child in a family, but also providing mutual adaptation of parents and children, prevention of children being returned.

Since August 2008 the Fund jointly with Administration of the Kostromskaya region has been carrying out the project «Present a Child with Family» within the frames of the given direction realization. The Project has been designed for 2 year period. The purpose of the project is development of a system for accompanying orphan kids and children left without their parents patronage as well as substituting families. The tasks of the project are as follows: increase of amount of substituting families and orphan kids and children left without their parents patronage who have been given to these families for upbringing; development of technology for accompanying activity of such families; creation of a new structure (Resource Centre), providing skilled assistance and support by specialists who work with the families and children etc.

The Fund has chosen an independent direction of its work, that is material and organization help to the families with moderate income who would like to have children but need a paid medical treatment. To provide an access of inhabitants of the Northern-Eastern regions of the district to new medical technologies the Fund has equipped a modern laboratory of auxiliary reproductive technologies in Ivanovsk NII of maternity and childhood; the laboratory cost is more than 3 million roubles. Medical services have been paid directly to the families, organization and material assistance has been rendered if there is a necessity to get medical treatment away from the places of residence.

Fund also gives a single charity help to the families with children and to the families being in a hard living situation. For example, the three rooms apartment and material assistance have been given to the family of Ivanovskaya region where triplets have been born.
